It's been nearly three months since my last drabble! I'm fairly certain that's the longest hiatus I've taken from writing since I started this journal, but I could be wrong about that *reminds self to check into this*. Inspired by the lack of certain scenes in Half-Blood Prince the movie, and rhr100's prompt of A MISSING MOMENT FROM HALF-BLOOD PRINCE, I bring you this:




Title: Life's Little Interruptions

Author's Note: This takes place in Chapter 29: "The Phoenix Lament" -- it's right after Harry leaves the hospital wing. This actually went a lot differently when I thought it up, but when I went back and researched where the missing moment was to occur, I realized things did not go quite as I remembered and had to change a few things. I hope it's still enjoyable!

Did anyone else notice the add behind Dumbledore in this part of the trailer?




I screencapped it originally because I was going to make a post entitled "Product Placement, What?" but after I really looked at it, I realized that it wasn't product placement but a completely awesome fake add. (Correct me if I'm wrong. I've googled everything in that add and came up with nothin'.) The perfume's called "Divine Magic" which is funny enough on its own, but then when you look at the top left corner of the add, the words are partially blocked so all we can see is "our man." How clever! I hope I'm not the only one who finds great entertainment out of this. I mean, this has to be done intentionally, right? Dumbledore standing in front of a sign that says "Divine Magic" and "our man?" That can't be a coincidence.

Quick question that maybe someone can help me out with: Is it canon that Harry ever had his own hand on the Weasley family clock? I don't remember it in the books, but I haven't reread them for a while, so it's very possible that it's just slipped my mind. The problem is that I think I read in a fanfic once that he did, and now I don't know what's what. =P Any ideas?

...I don't think that makes any sense, but I also don't think I want to change it. =P
